Returning after two years, the Quebec 4-H Intermediate Leadership Conference took place the weekend of November 28 in Orford Quebec at Parkside Ranch. With seven intermediate members from 4 clubs joining us, it was a weekend filled with fun, learning, a whole lot of volleyball and line dancing.
Friday night members got to know each other through games and ice breakers, and were then joined by guest speaker Josef Azam who shared his story with the members and the importance of finding you why.
The next morning included personality tests and learning about working with people with different personalities, some fun team challenges, and a visit to the camp horses. After lunch Ed Humphrey gave a presentation on public speaking and the members each had a chance to prepare a short speech to present. For the evening entertainment, an instructor from the Winslow Dancers joined us for an fun evening of line dancing.
To finish the weekend off member work on SMART goals and enjoyed some impromptu tubing! Thank you to Lyzanne Cuddihy and Christina Knox for chaperoning the event.
“We stayed at a gorgeous horse camp where, on the last night, me and the girls had tea and hot chocolate before we planned a meeting. The meeting didn’t end until midnight because we had to get to bed, but it was still amazing. It was such a great trip. I highly recommend it!”
